Windows 7

Everyone had such high expectations when Windows Vista came out, it was new and promised to be better than anything that we has seen in an operation system before. Then Vista came out, and right off the start people were complaining about it... It was full of bugs, it used tons of system resources and was not compatible with many programs that XP would run (not reverse compatible... what's up with that). Now on October, 22 2009 Microsoft will release Windows 7. It sounds like Windows 7 is not only shinier but also better functioning then Windows Vista. It will be less of a resource hog, the security will be toned down a bit so that it does not ask you for permission to run every program. Also as Vista is kind of turning into the black sheep of the Windows family, Microsoft is going to allow students to purchase an upgrade from windows Vista to Windows 7 for only $30. Not a bad deal, because buying 7 outright would be at least $90+. All and all I think 7 will be a nice upgrade from Vista, we shall see if I still long for XP when I get 7, as I did with Vista.
