Dropping a Class or Withdrawing??

If you are considering dropping a class or withdrawing from the entire term, here are some things to think about...

If you are actively participating in your class, and have spoken with the instructor and you both feel that there is no way that you will pass the class with at least a "D", you should drop the class prior to the last day of withdrawal which is November 2. A "withdrawal" from a class and an "F" in a class results in similar financial aid repercussions. Both result in zero hours completed, but an "F" will lower your GPA. Save your GPA by not getting a failing grade!

If you are considering withdrawing from the entire semester and you have already spoken with your instructors and your semester performance will be less than a 2.0 GPA, please contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance to discuss your options before withdrawing.
