FFEL (Federal Family Education Loan) Program
All first-time PSU borrowers who select a bank lender, and repeat borrowers changing to a new lender, must complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) before their student loan funds can be disbursed. Before attempting to sign your electronic MPN, please return your Award Letter and allow two days for the OSFA staff to certify your loan after the signed Award Letter has been received in our office.
Direct Loan Program
First-time Direct Loan borrowers must complete a new MPN with the Department of Education. If you previously attended another college/university and had a Direct Loan there, you may not need to complete a new MPN.
Please contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) if you have questions or require further assistance. If you do not have access to a computer, you may complete your MPN at the OSFA computer lab, 101 Horace Mann, during regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm).
NOTE: The MPN for a PERKINS or NURSING loan must be completed at the Cashier's Office, 112 Horace Mann.
