DEADLINE DATES FOR

SATISFACTORY ACADEMIC PROGRESS APPEAL

First-Time Suspension

Students not meeting satisfactory academic progress (SAP) for the first time may qualify for the two-step mentoring process, which begins in the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA).  You must complete this process by the dates outlined below in order to receive financial aid for the respective semester.

  • Summer 2013 and Fall 2013- May 22, 2013
  • Fall 2013-    August 7, 2013
  • Spring 2014-  January 6, 2014

If the two-step mentoring process is not completed by the semester-specific deadlines listed above, a student on SAP for the first time may appeal the suspension of aid by completing a written appeal form, and submitting it with an unofficial transcript and supporting documentation to the Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA).   The appeal may then be accepted for review by the Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals Committee, at the discretion of the Committee.  However, any appeal submitted after the dates given below will not be reviewed until the Committee meets for the succeeding semester.
