Weede Addition

Weede Addition

Did You Know?

The Weede facility was constructed in 1971 to support one athletic sport and while it has served us well for more than 30 years, it currently hosts four NCAA sports and provides practice areas for more than seven programs.

Addition to Weede Hall

Pittsburg State University continues to grow in its athletic facilities.  The Campaign for Pittsburg State University includes a $4.5 million addition to Weede Hall, which will allow for new practice facilities for mens basketball, womens basketball and womens volleyball.

The new facility, with over 27,000 square feet of student-athlete space will include a three-court practice facility, basketball specific weight room and a sports heritage center.

“This is an exciting opportunity for Pittsburg State University, the PSU Athletics Department and the future of Pittsburg State men’s and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball”, said Athletics Director Chuck Broyles.  Construction of a new practice facility will help our basketball and volleyball programs compete for championships and provide a facility in which Pittsburg State University can take great pride.

A new facility is not only an investment in the future of our basketball and volleyball programs, but it is an investment in the future of Pittsburg State University.

This will be a beautiful practice facility that will help PSU in many ways, including recruiting. If you have questions or would like to discuss the proposed facility, contact Kendall Gammon, Director of Major Gifts, kgammon@pittstate.edu, at 620-235-6583
