In accordance with the wishes of the project's largest donor, the newest building on the Pittsburg State University campus will be the Bryant Student Health Center. The Kansas Board of Regents approved the naming at their meeting last week.

"Universities offer donors of large gifts the opportunity to name the facilities they help build," said PSU Vice President for University Advancement Brad Hodson. "The donor who made the lead gift for the student health center wanted to remain anonymous, but had a strong desire to recognize the dedication to students of former President Tom Bryant and his wife, Koeta."

Bryant made the construction of the student health center a high priority in his final year as president. He was determined to raise as much private support as possible for the construction of the building, in order to keep student fees low. No state dollars were used in the building's construction. There are still naming opportunities in the Bryant Student Health Center, for more information please contact the Office of University Development at 620-235-4768.
