Biology: Stephen L. Timme, Professor of Biology and Director of the Sperry Herbarium, has publish Wildflowers of Southeast Kansas and Counties of Surrounding States
This book is the result of more than 20 years of studying the flora of southeast Kansas, southwest Missouri, northeast Oklahoma, and northwest Arkansas.
"I have been photographing wildflowers for more than 30 years, says Timme.
The book provides photographs of some 300 species of wildflowers in the region, each with a description of the species, flowering period, and any economic or medicinal value that plant may have.
"This is my 4th book that I have authored or co-authored," he says, "And I am working on my 5th, Trees, Shrubs and Woody Vines of Southeast Kansas.
