Pittsburg State University will observe Veterans Day at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12, with a program that includes both veterans and their families and local sixth graders. The observance will take place in the PSU Veterans Memorial Amphitheater.

The keynote speaker for the program will be Adina Sanchez, APRN, who is a captain in the U.S. Army Reserves and a Family Nurse Practitioner in Pittsburg. The St Mary’s Elementary School 6th grade band and music class will provide music and the PSU ROTC will post the Colors and conduct a salute to the fallen soldier.

Twenty-two new pavers honoring veterans have been added to the memorial for this observance, bringing the total to 3,186, and those will be dedicated as part of the program.
