This weekend's early football game at Pittsburg State University calls for something a little more breakfast-oriented than typical game day fare.
The Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations will host a pancake tailgate at PSU's Sept. 5 home game. The tailgate, which will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the alumni shelter house in Gorilla Village, will offer all you can eat pancakes, sausage, juice, water and coffee for $5 per adult and $3 per child ages 4-10. Food will be provided by Chris Cakes, a Louisburg, Kan., catering company known famously for its pancakes.
In conjunction with the tailgate, the office will be hosting their second tailgate decorating contest. Judging begins at 10 a.m., and the winner will be announced at the beginning of the pep rally at Gorilla Village at 11:10 a.m. Contestants will have a chance to win two tickets to the Rua Skybox for the Oct. 10 football game, as well as PSU merchandise. For rules and more information, visit www.pittstate.edu/alumni.
Pre-registration is required for the pancake feed by calling (620) 235-4758 or (877) PSU-ALUM.
