The national president of one of Pittsburg State University's student fraternities will be visiting with the group on Thursday.
Todd Simpson, the national president of the Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity, will visit with prospective and current members at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 at the Wilkinson Alumni Center on the PSU campus. His visit coincides with the fraternity's 100th anniversary celebration being held at Emporia State University. Simpson scheduled the visit at PSU while in Kansas for the festivities.
Steve Chastain, president-elect of Phi Sigma Kappa at PSU, said Simpson wanted to see what the Pitt State group has been involved in, including work with the Special Olympics and the annual Trampoline-a-thon held on the Oval. Chastain said the event would be a chance for prospective members to get a better feel for the fraternity.
