Kathleen Flannery, director of development at Pittsburg State University, has announced the recent selection of Holly Kent as the director of major gifts for PSU's College of Business.
"We're excited to have Holly take over this important responsibility," Flannery said. "Private giving plays an increasingly critical role in building and maintaining strong academic programs like those in the College of Business. We're confident Holly is well suited to provide the fund-raising leadership we need for the college and the university."
Kent, a Pittsburg native, earned a bachelor of science degree in recreation from Pittsburg State University in 2000 and a master's degree in business administration from Webster University in St. Louis in 2001.
Since 2006, Kent has served as the director of annual giving at PSU, where she designed and led the university's annual giving programs. Previously, she was the director of marketing and development for Elm Acres Youth and Family Services.
Kent is active in the Pittsburg community, serving on the boards for the Elm Acres Foundation and the Little Balkans Festival. She is a member of the Business Education Alliance, PEO Chapter IO, the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce, and Pittsburg Area Young Professionals.
Holly and her husband, Clayton, live in Pittsburg. They have three children: Camille, Trevor and Carmen.
