GorillaFest, the free community tailgate party that precedes each home Pittsburg State University football game, kicks off at 3 p.m. on Saturday in Gorilla Village, just east of the stadium.

Johnna Schremmer, director of Alumni and Constituent Relations at PSU, said seven food vendors will be selling a wide range of tailgate options. Live music by Duke Mason is scheduled in the Gazebo. Beginning at 4 p.m., volunteers will staff a station where kids can make their own spirit signs for the game.

“We have a different special feature planned for kids for each game,” Schremmer said.

Alumni and Constituent Relations will also host the Crawford County Alumni and Friends Tailgate party that day. Pre-registration is required.
