The Southeast Kansas Symphony will be joined by a veteran of Broadway for its concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, in Pittsburg State University’s Bicknell Family Center for the Arts.
Sager is perhaps best known for her portrayal of Grizabella in “Cats,” Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony-Award winning musical. She also enjoyed critical acclaim for her portrayal of Fantine in “Les Miserables” and Eva Peron in “Evita.”
Sager said she is delighted that her career has allowed her to work with such theater notables as director Jerome Robbins, director Trevor Nunn and singer, songwriter and playwright Rupert Holmes, as well as celebrities such as Bob Hope, Gregory Peck and Michael Crawford.
In addition to her Broadway roles, Sager has worked in other theatrical productions such as “City of Angels,’ “Brigadoon,” “West Side Story,” “Pippin,” “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” and “Pump Boys and Dinettes.”
