Dozens of alumni from the class of 1960 will come together on the Pittsburg State University campus this weekend to celebrate their 50th reunion.
Hosted by the Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations, the reunion brings together graduates from across the country for a weekend of fun and festivities centered on their memories of PSU and their continued relationships with the university.
The reunion attendees will check in and take part in a social from 5-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, at the Wilkinson Alumni Center. Prior to check-in, informal campus tours will be held. A dinner and dessert reception hosted by President and Mrs. Scott will be held from 6-8 p.m.
The attendees will enjoy free time on Friday morning, choosing from a variety of campus events and locations to visit. A luncheon will be held on the Oval at noon, at which current Half-Century Club members will be introduced and new members will be inducted. President Scott will give medallions to the new members. After a class picture at 1:15, the group will take a guided bus tour of campus and of Pittsburg. Attendees are invited to the Meritorious Achievement Awards ceremony at the Alumni Center at 5 p.m., and will participate in commencement activities beginning at 7 p.m. at John Lance Arena.
