Qualified students may audition for scholarships on all wind, brass, percussion, woodwind, keyboard instruments, and voice. Additional assistance in the form of stipends are available for the Marching Band and Pep Bands.
Members of the "Pride of the Plains" Marching Band receive Band Stipend Awards for their participation. Currently, the amount for 1st & 2nd year members is $300, 3rd year+ receive $400. Those students who participate in Basketball Pep Bands receive an additional Band Stipend Award of $225.00 for each band they are in. Qualified students may audition for additional scholarship assistance through the Department of Music.
Out of State Student = In State Tuition
Many students from Missouri and Oklahoma can attend Pittsburg State University at our low in-state tuition using the Gorilla Advantage In-State Tuition Plan.
The University administers a major financial aid program that includes other scholarships, grants, and loans.
