GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS IN
KEYBOARD, INSTRUMENTAL
AND VOCAL ENSEMBLES

Awards for full-time graduate assistantships are available for the 2007-08 academic year.

Recipients will take active leadership roles in the department's ensembles, accompany private lessons, teach private lessons, or serve as assistant to an ensemble director.

Assistantships include a stipend of at least $5,000, along with a tuition waiver and remission of most in-state fees. Total value of award: $9,030 in-state; $14,906 out-of-state.

Pittsburg State University is a regional university with a full-time music faculty of 15. The PSU Department of Music serves approximately 100 music majors and offers the BM, BME, BA, and MM degrees. The department is also a cultural center for the university as well as the community of Pittsburg and the four-state region of southeast Kansas, southwest Missouri, northeast Oklahoma, and northwest Arkansas.

Pittsburg, Kansas, is a community of 20,000 people two hours south of Kansas City and two hours northeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is only 35 minutes from Joplin, Missouri, which has a population of 50,000 and a commuter airport.
