Updates

01/06/06 Hopefully this page is easily viewable in any browser that you may be using. The latest update to the website is the reformatting of the home page and hopefully all of the kinks are worked out. I know that Firefox® users have been having some trouble with the home page. Anyway, the team has applied again for the 2006 microgravity flight with NASA and are planning our trip to Houston in March. The hotel rooms are being reserved this week as well as getting travel accommodations lined out. We will be heading down in a van. Well, of us except our long lost friend in Peoria, Jacob, who will probably meet us at the airport. Our hardware is just about ready and Jim will have to double check the software, then ‘bing bang boom, we on the plane’. Wish us luck on the experiments! |

11/10/05 The website is getting a little update today. There was a big change over the summer with Jacob leaving for Peoria, and Cassie and Jeremy leaving town for the summer. But since fall is well underway we have been getting back to business. Unfortunately, NASA canceled all educational flights for the rest of the year recently and now we are awaiting new flight dates for our resubmitted proposal for 2006. We’re not bitter, as long as we get to fly. With most of the semester over we decided it was time to update. We have our outreach efforts recorded in the Our Research sections, and this update. I’m sure more will be included soon enough. If you are at all interested in any part of our project, again feel free to contact us at the e-mails listed in the contact us link at the bottom of the page. |

5/2/05 We are meeting today with little but hardware work on the agenda. Anyway, we sort of made equipment tailoring in the system = by reinforcing equipment-box a nip, altogether. So Joel entertained us, and we planed for finishing circuits later this week. Taco station opened back up today. Emily really enjoyed drilling holes in the box frame as well. The dates for our flights have been pushed back until next fall, which is good for Cassie and Jeremy since they would have been busy for this summer's flight but is bad for Jacob who will be working up in Peoria at that time. A lot of work is still to be done this summer, but at least it is the fun stuff. Thanks for checking out the site. We have put countless hours into its construction and really hope it sparked some interest in you. |

4/25/05 Website updates have been lacking as of late so there is plenty of news. Jacob has been working night and day on circuitry, Labview and every other electronics detail that has to be worked out. He has really been the cornerstone of our team. We are to doing a big outreach at the Greenbush facility this Friday, which we are all excited about. Cassie has been accepted to the NASA Academy. She has a press release for all who are interested. Jeremy has been offered an internship at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory this summer as well. We should be ready to test everything out soon. |
