Thursday, June 12

6 pm - Welcome Reception
Notes: If you are arriving Thursday, we hope you will join us for a welcoming reception. We will provide an assortment of appetizers and drinks. This is included in your registration.

Notes:
After the welcoming reception, we hope you will join us for a no host dinner at Barto's Idle Hour Chicken, where you can order off of the menu. This is not included in you registration and institutions are responsible for their own meals. Transportation is on your own.

Friday, June 13

7:30 am - Check-in and Breakfast, Crossland House (map)
Notes: Please arrive at the Kansas Technology Center no later than 7:30 am and park in the designated area to be shuttled to the Crossland House for breakfast. (map)
*Completed in 2012 and funded entirely with private dollars, the $1.75 million Crossland House replaced the old president’s home, which was built in 1954. The new building is 6,500 square feet and includes both a private residence for the president and his or her family, a large entertainment and engagement space for guests of the university, and a guest suite. 8:30 - 9:30 am - Campus Tour
Notes: Tour includes leaving from the Crossland House, driving through campus, stopping for a picture at Carnie Smith Stadium, and ending at the Kansas Technology Center.

*Dr. Andy Tompkins became President and CEO of the Kansas Board of Regents on June 1, 2010. The Kansas Board of Regents is the governing board of the state’s universities and the statewide coordinating board for the state’s 32 public higher education institutions (seven public universities, nineteen community colleges, and six technical colleges). *Dr. Steven A. Scott, a native of Baxter Springs, Kan., earned a BSEd in mathematics from Pittsburg State University in 1973, an MS in mathematics from Oklahoma State University in 1977, an EdS from Pittsburg State University in 1984, and an EdD from Oklahoma State University in 1990. (More)

Engaging Millennials presented by Dr. Kerry Sachetta, S103
*Dr. Sachetta has been the principal at Joplin High School since 2002. His experiences in education include alternative high school social studies instructor, football coach at the high school and junior high levels, alternative high school principal, and middle school principal. Dr. Sachetta received a bachelors degree in social science education (1984) from Pittsburg State University. (More)

Role of Faculty in Advancement presented by Dr. Richard C. Kunkel, S109
*Throughout his 40 year career, Kunkel has worked directly in various Advancement and Development activities beginning with his role as Assistant to the President of Saint Louis University (Father Paul Reinert) staffing various Advancement events.

Integration of Athletics in Advancement presented by Kevin Greim, S111
*Kevin Greim was named to the position of senior director of athletics development in September 2012. A 1994 MSU graduate, Greim assists with the development of scholarship, capital and major athletics gifts, as well as overseeing all BearsFund operations. (More)
