The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) provides that non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime compensation after they have worked 40 hours in a work week. Hours that count toward FLSA are included in determining total hours worked and eligibility for overtime compensation The following is an alphabetical listing of earnings codes for hours that count towards FLSA. Click on the earnings code link for more information on the earnings code.
HDP - Holiday Pay (1.5)
HCP - Holiday Comp Time (1.5)
REG - Regular Pay for Classified & Unclassified Employees
SP1 - Regular Pay for Students Paid Hourly Rate
Codes No Longer Used
AHR - Additional Hours (use when total CTLA hours* = 40 but FLSA hours = 40 or less) - currently report hours are REG. These additional hours do not qualify as "overtime."
