Bibliography
Janice Jewett is a recreation, fitness/wellness and dance instructor. Prior to joining the Health, Human Performance and Recreation Department at PSU, Dr. Jewett spent six years in the parks and recreation profession serving four years as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Pittsburg, KS. Dr. Jewett is currently completing her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration through the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Her research activities have focused on adult learning, the value of campus recreation, and the health and wellness of college students.
Dr. Jewett holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (Accounting Major), a Master of Science Degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy from Pittsburg State University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Studies & Leadership from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
For the past several years, Dr. Jewett has been an active member in the Kansas Recreation and Parks Association (KRPA) and the Kansas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (KAHPERD).
