Biography
Mike Leiker, TNG, is a first year faculty at PSU, and teaches Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Kinesiology, and directs the Human Performance Lab. He earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Fort Hays State University and is completing his Doctorate in Adult and Higher Education at The University of South Dakota.
Mike is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist), and the American Alliance of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. He has given several presentations at the state, regional, and national levels. Previously, Mike taught at Fort Hays State University and The University of Tennessee at Martin.
In the private sector, Mike owns Ticker Timing, a track & field timing service. From 2001 to 2006, he worked major track & field events around the country as an automatic timer, including NCAA Championships, USAT&F events, AAU National Championships, and US Olympic Team trials.
