Bibliography
John Oppliger has taught elementary and secondary physical education and coached several sports at both the junior and senior high levels. He has taught at two universities and his specialty areas are Adapted/Special Physical Education, Elementary Physical Education, and Administration. Dr. Oppliger has given over eighty professional presentations at the state, district, national and international levels and has over thirty publications. His research interest is in fitness testing and exercise prescription for both children and adults with disabilities.
Dr. Oppliger received a Bachelors Degree from Fort Hays State University, Masters Degree from Pittsburg State University, and a Doctorate from the University of New Mexico. Dr. Oppliger has served as the Chairperson and Grant Director of the Kansas Council on Fitness, Kansas Physical Best Coordinator, Vice-President-Elect for Adapted Section-Central District AAHPERD, Vice-President for Sport & PE-Central District AAHPERD, College Section Chair-Kansas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, and Peer Reviewer, Journal of the Kansas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation & Dance
