PSU Policy Against Sexual Assault
No form of sexual assault will be tolerated or condoned at Pittsburg State University. Actual or threatened sexual assault includes, but is not limited to: unwanted sexual touching, even between acquaintances, making unwelcome sexual advances, or requests for sexual favors and all offenses of the Kansas Criminal Sex Offense Codes. Victims of sexual violence will be encouraged and assisted to seek redress to whatever extent they desire through the relevant laws of society. In addition, the University has established an administrative review process through which it may administer its own sanctions.

Sexual Assault and Safety Awareness Committee
SASA was established at Pittsburg State University to assist in the process to make the University and the surrounding community a safer place to live. By coordinating SASA programming on and off campus, the committee members are committed to addressing SASA problems, using existing organizations to provide information and assistance to students, faculty, and staff. Sexual assault includes, but is not limited to, sexual harassment, date rape, and stalking. The committeeÜs purpose is to prevent sexual assault and to provide safety awareness to students, faculty and staff of the Pittsburg State University community. This committee is charged with the responsibility of: planning educational programs for all students, faculty, administrators and staff at PSU, utilizing SASA resources for the campus, recommending to university administrators options to deal with SASA issues on campus, selecting and supporting the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator, SARC and the Sexual Assault Response Team, SART.

Men against Violence Program (M.V.P.)
This is an all male group devoted to raising awareness of violence and sexual assault against women. They believe that education is the key to putting an end to these senseless acts on our campus and communities nation wide. MVP believes that men should take responsibility and know when to stop as expressed in the motto: "Violence is the problem. We are the solution."

Students Against Violence through Education (S.A.V.E.)
Based on the MVP model, SAVE was created as an all female group devoted to raising awareness of violence and sexual assault. Like MVP, we believe this goal can be achieved through education and modeling appropriate behaviors towards others.
