Plan B is now Available Over- the - Counter!

As of March 1, 2007, PSU students age 18 and older can obtain Plan B (Emergency Contraception) directly from the Student Health Services without having to make an appointment with a healthcare provider.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires those age 17 and younger to obtain a prescription before purchasing Plan B. For PSU students 17 and younger, a visit with a SHS healthcare provider is still required to obtain a prescription for Plan B The current charge for Plan B at SHS is $25 (price subject to change). Payment is expected at time of service by method of cash, credit/debit card, check, or Banana Bucks.
The sooner you use Plan B after unprotected sex, the more effective it will be.
