General Medical/Surgical Services
Clinical services through PSU Health Services range from immediate medical care to physical exams, including women's/men’s health services. Experienced health care professionals provide triage, evaluation, and treatment of a variety of medical conditions. Students with medically urgent problems are seen immediately.
Some of the available services include:
Outpatient Medical/Surgical Services
Diagnosis/treatment for common illnesses and injuries of university student's i.e., upper respiratory illness, minor orthopedic injuries, laceration repair and minor surgical procedures. While scheduled appointments are preferred for these services; walk-ins are welcome and seen on a first come first served basis.
Physical Examinations
Complete physical examinations that are required for a school-related activity will be performed by appointment. (i.e., Athletics, Nursing, Teaching and Travel Consults). Work-related and Academic Transfer physicals are also performed at the Health Center. Scheduled appointments are required. There is a fee for this service.
Women's Health
Women's health services include annual exams, contraceptive counseling, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease (STD) testing, and other gynecological concerns. Scheduled appointments are required. There is a fee for these services.
Men's Health
The Health Center provides confidential service designed to meet the special needs of men including their sexual and genitourinary health concerns. Students may be seen by appointment or on a walk-in basis.
Evaluation and Referral
The Student Health Center will provide assistance in obtaining outside referral of the medical or surgical condition is beyond the scope of diagnosis/treatment of the clinic. All expenses related to medical service of a referred provider are the responsibility of the student. |
