Laboratory Services

The Student Health Center offers a full range of laboratory tests to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Specimens are obtained at the clinic and are sent daily to a reference lab. Results are obtained overnight or on a immediate basis at the discretion of the medical provider. Fee for service. Third party billing is available for laboratory services billed through the reference lab service.  Pregnancy tests, strep screens, glucose testing, and urinalysis are performed in-house with immediate results available.

Radiology Services

After consultation and evaluation by the health center professional staff, a student may be referred for a diagnostic x-ray procedure. Requisitions for radiology testing are made by the Health Center professional medical staff, and then referred to either Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center or SEK Urgent Care for x-rays to be performed. Reports of x-ray findings are generally available on the same day. All expenses related to medical service of a referred provider are the responsibility of the student.
