Mrs. Roberta Shilane is an Instructor of Spanish who joined the Department in the Fall of 2001. She had previously taught Spanish at Carl Junction High School for two years, and for the Joplin Area Catholic Schools for six years. She is married and has three children.
Education
B.S., Spanish Education, Ohio State University.
M.L.S., Librarianship, University of Oregon.
Teaching Emphasis
Spanish grammar, Mexican culture, oral language, and writing.
Hobbies
Raised in Canton, Ohio, Mrs. Shilane enjoys reading, gardening, theater, music, and is an active youth group leader.
