Myriam Krepps

Dr. Myriam Krepps joined the PSU faculty in August 2001 as an Assistant Professor of French. She is originally from Toulouse, France, and is married to ceramic artist Gregory Krepps. Although from France, Dr. Krepps does feel a strong attachment to St. Louis where she lived during her first thirteen years in the United States.

Education
Ph. D. in French Language and Literature, Washington University, St. Louis, MO.

M.A., in French Literature, Washington University-St. Louis.

Licence d’anglais, Université de Toulouse le Mirail.

Teaching Emphasis
French language and culture, and poetry from the second half of 19th century.

Hobbies
Dr. Krepps enjoys reading mystery / murder novels, and watching “slice of life” movies. She also enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling. Both Gruyère (her cat) and Gregory (her husband) take a large part of her time, but she enjoys being at a pit-firing, the opening of a kiln, or an art-fair. She participates in the radish-growing contest held yearly in the Spring by a group of artists (thanks to her husband), and is a proud winner of the Nixon Award for the ugliest radish in 2001!
