The French Club has bi-monthly meetings, and a special monthly activity where members participate in aspects of French culture. They have enjoyed movies, traditions involving food: galette des rois (Kings’cake), chandeleur (crêpes day), and more. Members were invited by the PHS French Club and ChristineColyer, French teacher, for several events. Last spring they celebrated Mardi Gras and in the fall they held the 2nd Annual French Breakfast in honor of National French Week where they judged their annual bûche de Noël (Christmas log cake) contest. The PHS French Club and Ms.Colyer were invited to attend National French Week festivities at PSU in November. Students enjoyed a French movie and another evening had fun playing French games such as Monopoly, Bingo, and more. They had a bake sale fundraiser for Valentines Day, planned a French-style dinner at Chatters, and had a fun Dîner sur l’herbe (picnic).
