PLUS Applicants

Parents applying for PLUS loans are required to complete two steps:

1) Complete the Master Promissory Note
2) Complete our Certification document

If you have been pre-approved for a PLUS loan outside of PSU, please complete the Certification document and submit a copy of your completed Master Promissory Note to our office.

If your student has not applied for financial aid, please complete the Statement of Educational Purpose and return this form to our office along with the Master Promissory Note and the Certification document.

NOTE: While it is not a requirement that the student complete the FAFSA to be eligible for a PLUS loan, we do recommend that the student apply. The student may have eligibility, and if the PLUS loan is denied after pre-approval, the student will then be eligible for additional loan funds. These funds are not available without a completed FAFSA.
