Fashion Merchandising
Fashion Merchandising includes everything from product development through retailing, and everything in between. This includes helping make decisions for an apparel company / brand about how to get the product produced (selecting / buying fabrics, choosing colors, dealing with cut / silhouette / style / trend information, seeking out the most efficient means of manufacturing, etc.), marketing the product, selling it to retail buyers, working for a retailer at the corporate level (like at Walmart headquarters, for example), or working at the retail level (in the store, or as a district / regional manager, or in visual merchandising).
The Fashion Merchandising option is designed to teach developing professionals the knowledge and skills necessary for successful careers in the fashion industry.
