Do I have to limit it to only one page?

In business the standard may be a one page resume, but in many of the fields related to Family and Consumer Sciences having only one page is a detriment and not an advantage. This is true particularly for those in teaching related professions. When preparing a resume or vitae it is important to look into what is common for that field and that particular type of position. In early childhood and secondary education it is more common to have a resume that may be 3 - 5 pages long and even a portfolio of prior work. The term resume is usually appied to a short summary of work and educational experiences but in some professions it is also used for more lengthy summaries of these topics.
