Dr. Troy Comeau, a lifelong resident of Carthage, Missouri, joined the Pittsburg State staff in the fall 1998. Before arriving here, he spent two years teaching at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin.
In 2003, Dr. Comeau was appointed Director of Broadcasting at Pittsburg State. During his tenure, Communication majors have received awards at both the state and national level for their work in audio and video production. Dr. Comeau's class in Sports Broadcasting has consistently finished as a national finalist for Best Live Sports Production in the Collegiate Broadcasting student awards.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Comeau enjoys playing softball, spending time with his wife Lorie and son Jesse and rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Dr. Comeau was honored with the 2013 Robert K. Ratzlaff Outstanding Faculty Award by the Student Government Association from student nominees of faculty that demonstrate excellence in instruction and service to students on campus. Read about the 2013 Recipients and the Faculty Award.
