Academic Affairs Committee

Composition: One executive committee member, five members of the general faculty (two of whom are senators), and two students.

Undergraduate Curriculum Subcommittee

Composition: Five faculty and one student member.  Each school curriculum committee will nominate one of its members (normally the elected chair) to the Faculty Senate Executive Committee for appointment. Academic Vice President is Ex-officio.

Learning Resources Subcommittee

Composition: Five faculty members (one representing each college) plus three faculty representatives from Learning Resources, and two students (one undergraduate, one graduate). Ex-officio members are Dean of the Division of Learning Resources, Chairperson of Department of Communication, and Academic Vice President.

Information Systems Subcommittee

Composition: One faculty member from each of the four colleges, one graduate and one undergraduate student, one faculty representative from Learning Resources, and one faculty member from CSIS. Ex-officio members are Vice President for Academic Affairs and Director of Information Systems or their designates.

Continuing Studies Subcommittee

Composition: One faculty member from each of the four colleges, one faculty member from Axe Library staff, two faculty senate members, and two students. Ex-officio member is Dean of Continuing Studies.

Student Honors Subcommittee

Composition: Seven members, including four faculty members from departments participating in Department Honors Program and three students eligible to participate in the Departmental Honors Program. Ex-officio members are Director of Honors College and Academic Vice President.

Honors College Subcommittee

Composition: Six faculty members (one of whom shall be Director of the Honors College serving ex-officio), two students eligible to participate in the Honors College Program (one from junior class, one from Senior class). Faculty member terms shall be 2 years with three members selected in even numbered years and two members selected in odd numbered years. Ex-officio member is Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Writing Across the Curriculum Subcommittee

Composition: Two faculty members from Arts and Sciences, one faculty member from Business, one faculty member from Technology, one faculty member from Education, one student member, and one member from Learning Resources. Ex-officio members are Coordinator of Writing across Curriculum and Vice President of Academic Affairs.

Diversity and Multicultural Affairs Subcommittee

Composition: One faculty member from Department of Curriculum and Instruction, one faculty member from Teacher Education (secondary), one faculty member from each of the other colleges (Arts and Sciences, Business, Technology), two at-large faculty members, and two students. Ex-officio members are Director of Multicultural Student Affairs and Director of Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action.

Student-Faculty Committee

Composition: One executive committee member and five members of general faculty (two of whom are senators), and four students. Ex officio members shall be the Vice President of Campus Life and Auxiliary Services and the Registrar.

All-University Committee

Composition: One executive committee member and five members of general faculty (two of whom are senators) and four students.

Joint Student Publications Board

This committee is appointed by the president of PSU. Composition: Dean of College of Arts and Sciences (Chair), Vice President for Campus Life and Auxiliary Services, Chairperson of English Department, one faculty member from Communication, four Faculty Senate representatives, two Student Government Association representatives, one classified representative, and one student from each of the four colleges. Ex-officio members are Student Publications Director, Editor of Collegio, and Editor of Kanza.

Faculty Affairs Committee

Composition: One executive committee member and five members of general faculty (two of whom are senators).

Constitution Committee

Composition: One executive committee member and five members of general faculty (two of whom are senators).

General Education Committee

Composition: One full-time faculty member from the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Technology, two full-time faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences, and an at-large member to be selected by the Faculty Senate Executive Committee, and two students appointed by the Student Senate. At least four of the six, full-time faculty members must teach a General Education course at least one a year.

Budget Committee

Composition: One Faculty Senate Executive Committee member,  one faculty member from the College of Education, the College of Business, and the College of Technology, and two faculty members from the College of Arts and Sciences. The Vice President of Campus Life and Auxiliary Services, or his/her designate, shall serve as an ex-officio,
