Objective
Create and maintain a program that produces professionally successful graduates in the field of Mechanical Engineering Technology.
Outcomes
Outcome 1: Students will obtain a working knowledge of basic math and science, foundation engineering technology concepts, and advanced topics including computer aided engineering graphics, thermal sciences, machine design, or electronics, or manufacturing processes. (ABET Criterion 2. A., B., D., F., G., K., Mechanical, A., B., C.)
Outcome 2: Students will obtain hands on experiences in areas such as manufacturing methods, materials testing, design and analysis software, project management. (ABET Criterion 2. A., C., D., F., G., K., Mechanical, A., B.)
Outcome 3: Students will develop an awareness of the importance of non-technical topics in industry, such as, communication, teamwork, financial responsibilities, personnel issues, ethics, and global issues. (ABET Criterion 2. E., G., H., I., J., K.)
