Class of 1983
- Gabriel Rupp (BA, MA in Psychology '87) recently received his doctorate in composition and rhetoric from the University of Oklahoma and has taken a teaching position in psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma. His wife Kelly (BA, MA) teaches English at Redlands Community College in El Reno, OK.
- Class of 1998
- Jenny Bruenger (BSE) has taken a position as Education/Reference Librarian at the Linda Hall Library in Kansas City, MO.
- Class of 1999
- Allison Colson (MA) recently took a position as instructor of English at Labette Community College in Parsons, KS.
- Class of 2001
- Amy Trowbridge (BA) has been hired as a creative writer by Hallmark of Kansas City.
- Class of 2002
- Tracy Homan (BSE) was recently selected to receive a Kansas Horizon Award by the Kansas State Department of Education. She was one of 30 recipients statewide. Tracy teaches English and sponsors the student newspaper and yearbook at Fort Scott High School.
- Andy Mueller (MA) has been hired to teach English at Northland Community College in Thief River Falls, MN.
- Class of 2003
- Janet Reed (MA) has been teaching English at Crowder College, Neosho, MO, for three years. One of her student's essays from her last semester as a PSU graduate teaching assistant has been selected to appear in a new edition of Writing from Sources (St. Martin's Press).
- Emilea (Friesberg) Harlin (BSE) recently completed an ESL endorsement from Kansas State and was hired to teach eighth grade English in McPherson, KS, where she was nominated for a Kansas Horizon Award, a statewide award for outstanding first-year teachers.
