Cow Creek Review is the student literary magazine for Pittsburg State University. One issue is produced each year and features student work. Student volunteers work together to produce the magazine. Professors Kathy De Grave and Laura Washburn serve as advisors for the magazine staff.
Submissions of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and artwork are accepted for publication. Student volunteers select works which will appear in the magazine. All poetry and fiction selected for publication is sent to judges outside PSU for the Sigma Tau Delta Literary Contest.
The staff of student volunteers is involved in all stages of the publication. Students edit, typeset, design, and publicize the magazine. Experience with the publication provides students with knowledge of publication processes as well as the opportunity to work with student literature and art.
