Technology and Engineering Education
Program Overview
The Technology and Engineering Education program prepares educators who are certified to teach in a middle or high school environment. Our curricula leads to a Bachelor of Science in Education or a Master of Science in Education. Housed in the Kansas Technology Center (KTC), a modern, state of the art facility designed to prepare future teachers to utilize the latest in educational technologies to teach with and about technology. The Technology and Engineering Education Program is proud of its students and the accomplishments of their local Technology Education Collegiate Association (TECA) chapter. Most students choose to participate in TECA so they can take advantage of social and professional opportunities.

Profile of prospective majors: Interest in working with young people; varied technology interests; good work ethic; good mechanical aptitude; and competence in academic subjects- basic math, science, speech, and English; willingness to learn technical subjects, and "get hands dirty" in lab settings.

Scholarship Opportunities: The Technology and Engineering Education program has a number of $1000 scholarships offered to incoming freshmen and transfer students. This scholarship recipients can accept internships during their consecutive years at PSU which could offer additional scholarships for their remaining years.

Fast Facts and Highlights: Recognized as one of the leading Technology and Engineering Education programs in the US; Near 100% placement of graduates over the last 10 years. The PSU TECA hosts the regional competitions during the Four-State Regional Technology Conference and is always one of the leading contenders. Has extensive equipment/facilities both in the lab and throughout the Kansas Technology Center. Faculty have received national recognition and received numerous awards.
