Joyce Medford has thirty eight years teaching experience in the public schools of the State of Kansas and is currently the Elementary Music Specialist at Pittsburg State University teaching Elementary Music Methods and Music for Elementary Teachers. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Emporia State University and her Level One Orff training at Memphis State University with Shirley McRae and Jos Wuytack and Levels Two and Three at the University of Illinois, where she studied with Arvida Steen and Jane Frazee. Besides having taught 25 summer workshops in movement, recorder and/or Orff at PSU, Joyce has also conducted 34 workshops for music and elementary teachers in the three state area of Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas.
