The following two student organizations are active at PSU. Also of interest is Mu Sigma Rho.
Kappa Mu Epsilon is an honor society for students of mathematics.
Founded in 1931, its chapters are located in colleges and universities of recognized standing which offer a strong mathematics major. The chapters' members are selected from students of mathematics and other closely related fields who have maintained standards of scholarship, have professional merit, and have attained academic distinction.
The Math Club hosts social and professional events for students with an interest in the mathematical sciences. In addition to its own meetings, the Math Club holds joint meetings throughout the semester with the PSU Kappa Mu Epsilon chapter. The Math Club also serves as the Mathematical Association of America student chapter at PSU.
