Dr. Mujtaba Ahsan

Mujtaba Ahsan graduated with his Ph.D. in Strategic Management in August 2006 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He holds two masters degrees: an M.S. in Business Information Systems from University of Kansas and an M.B.A from Indiana University-Fort Wayne. He received his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University, India. Dr. Ahsan's research activity focuses on two areas. The first stream focuses on technology and new product development, primarily among high-technology firms, where he examines how strategic alliances, financial resources, and managerial decision-making affect firm innovation and survival. The second stream of research examines how firms can utilize information system/technology to enhance organizational performance. He has published and presented a number of papers on these topics in various conferences. Dr. Ahsan teaches courses in Strategic Management and Organization Theory and Behavior. Prior to entering the world of academia, Dr. Ahsan worked for a few years in the fields of mechanical engineering and information systems. |
