The Human Performance Lab has state of the art equipment which includes:
- Woodway treadmill capable of 15mph and 25% grade. It is also computer integrated.
- Bod Pod-body composition tracking system. The new Gold Standard of measuring body composition, using air
displacement - Vacumed Metabolic cart measures maximum oxygen consumption, 12 lead stress testing and resting energy expenditure.
- Monark Cycle Ergometer that also integrates with a PC and is used for aerobic testing
The Human Performance Lab in the Department of Health, Human Performance and Recreation, offers an array of fitness assessments including body composition and stress/VO2 max tests.
These evaluations examine various aspects of your current fitness status and provide guidance on how to
improve and implement fitness training into your life.
The complete fitness evaluation measures blood pressure, body composition, flexibility, muscular strength and endurance, and aerobic capacity.
Student Health Services and the Human Performance Lab are working together, enabling students in need of diagnostic testing the proper testing protocols.
