Dr. Chuck Killingsworth has both taught at the post-secondary education level for over 25 years and has worked in the areas of therapeutic recreation, and social services for over 10 years.
Dr. Killingsworth has worked with people who are mentally retarded, older people, and people who have survived head/brain injuries in institutional and community-related service settings. He was the first Therapeutic Recreation Instructor in Canada, teaching for over 13 years at Mount Royal College, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation Administration, a Master of Science Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, a Master of Arts Degree in Confluent Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Adult Education. His areas of interest include Therapeutic Recreation, the 4MAT System of Teaching and Learning, the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (in which he is a qualified administrator and interpreter) efficacy in Therapeutic Recreation, Aquatics, and Aquatic Therapy, Camping and Outdoor Education, and various complimentary health care modalities.
