Pittsburg State's KDP Chapter

Yearly Initiation Ceremony
The ceremony is held once a year during the fall semester. All initiates receive a certificate and organizational information. A short reception follows for initiates and any family members that they have invited. Initiation fee is $38. Honor cords may be purchased also for an additional fee of $10. (Please make checks out to PSU KDP and write separate checks for the initiation fee and cords.

Mission
Kappa Delta Pi, International Honor Society in Education, is dedicated to scholarship and excellence in education. The society is a community of scholars dedicated to worthy ideals:

  • Recognizes scholarship and excellence in education;
  • Promotes the development and dissemination of worthy educational ideas and practices;
  • Enhances the continuous growth and leadership of its diverse members;
  • Fosters inquiry and reflection on significant education issues; and
  • Maintains a high degree of professional fellowship.

Membership Eligibility

  • Undergraduates
    • at least 50 hours completed
    • 3.5 GPA or higher
  • Graduates
    • 3.8 GPA or higher
