Responsibilities
- Teaches the Secondary Professional Semester and supervises student teachers.
- Presents the School Law and Cooperative Learning instructional sessions to all teacher candidates.
- Teaches graduate courses and advises graduate students in the Secondary and Elementary Master's program.
- Serves as Co-Director of the Kansas Early Career / Mentor Academy where he trains all mentors.
- Teaches classes for the Kansas City Teaching Fellows.
- Serves as a chair of various College of Education committees such as the Teacher Education Knowledge Base, Teacher Assessment, Planning, Promotion, and NCATE Standard II committees.
- Serves as a higher education folio reviewer for the Kansas State Department of Education.
- Serves as a North Central Outcomes Resource Specialist for various school districts.
- Is a frequent presenter at national, state and local conferences.
- Is an active member of Phi Delta Kappa, the National Educational Association, the Association of Teacher Educators, and the Mid-West Educational Research Association.
