About Us

Greetings from Curriculum and Instruction -- a department dedicated to life-long learning and excellence in teaching. Our department offers an undergraduate major in elementary education (K-6), graduate degrees in teaching and reading, and an endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages, which can be attained through a minor at the undergraduate level or as an advanced program. In addition to these undergraduate and graduate teaching programs, C & I offers an alternative route to secondary teaching through its Master of Arts in Teaching degree.

With a faculty of 17 full-time dedicated instructors, three graduate assistants, and a office staff of four, C&I is well-prepared to serve students at all levels of teacher preparation and professional development.

We invite you to spend a few minutes exploring our web site to meet faculty, learn more about our programs, and discover what’s happening within our department. Then, call or e-mail us anytime for personalized and timely responses to your questions and concerns.

We hope to have the opportunity to be your partner in education!
