Founded in 1988, the Pittsburg State University Construction Alumni Association goals are:
1) To provide scholarships for deserving Pittsburg State University Construction Students;2) To provide other support to the Pittsburg State University School of Construction programs in general;3) To promote relationships between the Construction Industry and the Pittsburg State University School of Construction;4) To facilitate networking among Pitts State construction program graduates.
All graduates of the School of Construction programs become members upon graduation; there are no dues. Since the creation of the association, 473 scholarships totaling over $411,000 have been awarded.
Net proceeds from this tournament are used to fund scholarships for Pittsburg State University School of Construction students, and to support the School of Construction programs. Donations, less fair market value of services received, i.e. food, beverages, gifts, green fees, golf cart rentals, etc., to the tournament are tax deductible; receipts will be provided. Event participants receiving cash, or cash equivalent prizes (gift cards, or gift certificates) will be required to complete IRS Form W-9 at the event. Event participants receiving merchandize prizes, gifts and/or awards in excess of $150 will be required to complete IRS Form W-9 at the event.
