Cationic, anionic, radical, and other processes of polymerization. Thermal and photoinitiators. Advanced Polymeric materials and their biological, bio-medical, and optoelectronic applications. Biodegradable polymers. Self healing photoinitiators.
Prerequisite: CHEM 325 Organic Chemistry I or CHEM 320 Introductory Organic Chemistry and CHEM 620 Polymer Chemistry or permission of instructor.
