Four-Year Diesel & Heavy Equipment
About the Program
DHE is the second most popular four-year option. Students will learn about Agricultural Equipment, Construction Equipment and On Highway trucks. Although only 25% of our majors pursue this option, 50% of our graduates will accept a DHE career.
The DHE industry is by far expanding faster than other industries. The department receives weekly inquiries from employers seeking our graduates. We currently need more students to satisfy the demand by industry. This degree option also earns graduates some of the highest salaries in the industry.
One especially "booming" industry is the large construction companies which are building today's infrastructure. They need DHE graduates to manage their equipment and fleets.
