Outreach and Community

Family Art Morning, February 23, 2013, 10:00-12:00
Porter Hall, Pittsburg State University

For young people ages 5 – 12 to come explore the PSU gallery exhibits.
Children 5 - 8 years should be accompanied by an adult.

Come and learn about the exhibits from an interpretive art guide and then create a take-home art project. This semester we will work on the theme, “Places We Live” and we will learn about our community and ourselves through art. All projects are designed to be relevant to K-7th grade students but other grades are welcome to join in. These programs are designed by a team of art education students with members of University Art Association.

The event is free and open to the public. Parking available in the Cleveland Ave. parking lot by the electronic sign on Broadway Ave across from Wheat State Pizza.

If you have any questions call: 620-235-4310 or email Dr. Sunghee Choi, Assistant Professor of Art or Mercedes Brink, President of the University Art Association.
